Ingredients
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 250 g Organically Grown Green Capsicum
- 40 g Simplify Foods Hot & Spicy Tomato Soup
- 35 g On1Y Grinder Italian Seasoning Flakes
- 350 g Baker'S Loaf Whole Wheat Bread
- 200 g Fortune Soya Chunks
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2. Cut the whole wheat bread in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the inside, breaking the removed bread into bite-sized pieces. Set both the bread halves and pieces aside.
- 3. In a large saucepan, combine 1 cup of rehydrated soya chunks, 1 chopped onion, and 1 tablespoon of finely chopped green pepper. Cook over medium heat until the onion is softened, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess liquid.
- 4. Stir in 1 can of tomato soup, 1 1/2 cups of shredded kosher cheddar cheese, and the reserved bread pieces. Mix well until the cheese is melted and the mixture is evenly combined. Add 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning and stir to incorporate.
- 5. Spoon the beef mixture evenly into the hollowed-out bread halves. Place the filled bread halves on a baking sheet.
- 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the filling is heated through.
- 7. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and slice into portions. Serve warm and enjoy!
