- 500 g Onion
- 500g Red Cabbage
- 4 pcs approx (500g-650g) Apple Green
- 500 Ml Champion Oil
- 500 g Sugar
- 50 g Cloves
- - Bay Leaf
- 20 g Cinnamon
- 200 g Table Salt
Instructions
- 1. Finely shred 500 grams of red cabbage using a sharp knife or a food processor.
- 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- 3. Add 1 finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- 4. Stir in 2 peeled and grated apples, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- 5. Add the shredded red cabbage to the pot and mix well.
- 6. Pour in 100 ml of apple cider vinegar and 100 ml of water.
- 7. Add 2 cloves, 1 bay leaf, and 1 cinnamon stick to the pot.
- 8. Cover the pot and let it simmer on low heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 9. After 45 minutes, check the tenderness of the cabbage. If needed, cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- 10. Remove the cloves, bay leaf, and cinnamon stick before serving.
- 11. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
