Ingredients

  • 500 Grms Ragi / Nachni Atta Millets Atta 500 Grms
  • 100 g Salt
  • 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
  • 50G Green Chilies
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 500g Good Life Raw Peanuts 500 G
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 100 g Hing Khoda
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 100 g Curry Leaves

Instructions

  1. 1. Dry roast the ragi flour in a pan on medium heat for 4-5 minutes, stirring continuously to prevent burning. Set it aside to cool.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat, add mustard seeds, and let them splutter. Add hing, curry leaves, and green chilies, and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  3. 3. Add chopped capsicum, cabbage, and tomatoes to the pan. Sprinkle turmeric powder and salt, and cook for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but not mushy.
  4. 4. Gradually add the roasted ragi flour to the pan, stirring continuously to mix it evenly with the vegetables.
  5. 5. Add roasted peanuts and some water to the mixture, stirring until it forms a soft, upma-like consistency. Cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. 6. Garnish the upma with freshly chopped coriander leaves. Serve warm and enjoy this wholesome dish with your family.
