Ingredients

  • 1 piece Coconut
  • 1 piece Banana
  • 500g Swad Puttu Podi 500g
  • 100 Ml Gowardhan Ghee
  • 1 kg Basmati Rice
  • 500G Surya Rice Flour
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 500 g Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Gather all ingredients: 2 bananas, 1 piece coconut, 1 tbsp ghee, a pinch of Keya Table Salt, 2 tbsp Madhur sugar, 1 cup Vijay Rice Flour, and water as needed.
  2. 2. Grate the coconut and set aside.
  3. 3. In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour with a pinch of salt and shattered sugar.
  4. 4. Gradually add water to the rice flour mixture and mix until it reaches a coarse texture like breadcrumbs.
  5. 5. Layer the puttu maker with a thin layer of grated coconut at the bottom.
  6. 6. Add a layer of the rice flour mixture on top of the coconut followed by slices of banana.
  7. 7. Repeat the layering until the puttu maker is filled, ending with a layer of coconut.
  8. 8. Close the puttu maker and steam for about 10 to 15 minutes until cooked.
  9. 9. Once steamed, carefully remove from the puttu maker and drizzle with ghee before serving.
