Ingredients
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 200 g Dahi
- 1 box Baking Soda
- - Besan
- 50 Grms Garam Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 50G Green Chilies
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 1 liter Sunflower Oil
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin seeds, and salt. Gradually add water to form a smooth, lump-free batter with a consistency similar to pancake batter.
- 2. Add the chopped onion, tomato, green chilies, and coriander leaves to the batter. Mix well to evenly distribute the vegetables.
- 3. Stir in the baking soda just before cooking to make the chillas light and fluffy.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with a few drops of oil.
- 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin, even circle using the back of the ladle. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the edges start lifting and the bottom is golden brown.
- 6. Flip the chilla carefully and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked and golden.
- 7. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan lightly before making each chilla.
- 8. Serve the hot chillas immediately with green chutney or plain yogurt on the side for a delicious breakfast.
