- 500 g Onion
- 200 g Dahi
- 100G Oleo
- 250 G Masur Dal
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 200G Adrak Lasun Paste (200g)
- - Dairy Milk
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Coriander Powder
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the red lentils thoroughly and soak them in water for 20 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, add cumin seeds, and let them sizzle. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- 3. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes before adding the chopped tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the mixture thickens into a gravy.
- 4. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala to the pan, mixing well. Stir in the yogurt and cook for 2-3 minutes until the spices blend beautifully.
- 5. Gently add the paneer cubes to the pan, mixing to coat them in the spiced gravy. Cook for 5 minutes, ensuring the paneer absorbs the flavors.
- 6. In a separate pot, heat the remaining oil and add the soaked lentils along with salt. Pour in enough water to cover the lentils and simmer for 20 minutes or until tender.
- 7. Add the cooked lentils to the paneer gravy, stirring gently to combine. Pour in the milk for a creamy consistency and simmer the mixture for an additional 5-7 minutes.
- 8. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve warm in bowls for a comforting start to your day.
