Ingredients

  • 100 g Curry Leaves
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Dhaniya Gavran Premium
  • 1 Kg Pomfret Fish
  • - Grated Coconut
  • 100 g Tamarind Paste
  • 1 kg Rice
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 100 g Lemon
  • - Dry Red Chillies
  • 100 g Garlic
  • loose Ginger
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
  • 500 g Onion

Instructions

  1. 1. Clean and rinse the pomfret fish thoroughly. Cut slits on both sides and marinate with turmeric powder, salt, and lime juice. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. 2. Grind grated coconut, coriander seeds, dry red chilies, garlic, ginger, tamarind pulp, and water into a smooth paste using a blender.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Add curry leaves, finely chopped onions, and sauté until golden brown.
  4. 4. Add the prepared coconut spice paste to the pan. Stir well and cook for 5 minutes, ensuring the raw aroma disappears.
  5. 5. Add water to the pan to adjust the curry consistency. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. 6. Gently add the marinated pomfret fish to the curry. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, turning the fish halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  7. 7. In a separate pot, rinse the rice thoroughly and cook it with water and a pinch of salt until fluffy and fully cooked.
  8. 8. Serve the hot paplet curry alongside freshly steamed rice. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and enjoy!
