Ingredients
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Dhaniya Gavran Premium
- 1 Kg Pomfret Fish
- - Grated Coconut
- 100 g Tamarind Paste
- 1 kg Rice
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 100 g Lemon
- - Dry Red Chillies
- 100 g Garlic
- loose Ginger
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
- 500 g Onion
Instructions
- 1. Clean and rinse the pomfret fish thoroughly. Cut slits on both sides and marinate with turmeric powder, salt, and lime juice. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- 2. Grind grated coconut, coriander seeds, dry red chilies, garlic, ginger, tamarind pulp, and water into a smooth paste using a blender.
- 3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Add curry leaves, finely chopped onions, and sauté until golden brown.
- 4. Add the prepared coconut spice paste to the pan. Stir well and cook for 5 minutes, ensuring the raw aroma disappears.
- 5. Add water to the pan to adjust the curry consistency. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 6. Gently add the marinated pomfret fish to the curry. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, turning the fish halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- 7. In a separate pot, rinse the rice thoroughly and cook it with water and a pinch of salt until fluffy and fully cooked.
- 8. Serve the hot paplet curry alongside freshly steamed rice. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and enjoy!
