Ingredients

  • 100 g Oats Jumbo
  • - Besan
  • 500 g Onion
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 250 g Spinach
  • - Chaat Masala
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 200 ml Sesame Oil
  • 250 g Carrot
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 500g Organic Tattva Raw Peanuts / Groundnuts 500 G
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Blend the rolled oats into a fine powder using a mixer or grinder, then transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. 2. Add besan, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, chaat masala, and salt to the bowl. Mix well.
  3. 3. Add chopped onion, tomato, green chili, grated carrot, spinach, and crushed peanuts. Mix to combine.
  4. 4. Gradually add yogurt and a little water to the mixture to form a smooth, pourable batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Heat a non-stick pan or tawa on medium heat and lightly grease it with 1/2 tsp oil.
  6. 6. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it gently into a circular shape. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  7. 7. Flip the cheela and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes, adding a few drops of oil around the edges if needed.
  8. 8. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan lightly between each cheela.
  9. 9. Serve warm with yogurt, mint chutney, or tomato ketchup for dipping.
