Ingredients
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 250 g Mutton
- 200 g Dahi
- 500 g Onion
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 200G Adrak Lasun Paste (200g)
- 100 g Salt
- 100 g Jeera
- - Coriander Powder
Instructions
- 1. Clean the mutton pieces thoroughly under running water and pat dry. In a large bowl, mix the mutton with yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Cover and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
- 2. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan or pressure cooker over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter, followed by finely chopped onions. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
- 3. Add the marinated mutton to the pan and stir well. Cook on medium heat until the mutton starts to brown and the oil separates from the mixture.
- 4. Add chopped tomatoes, garam masala powder, coriander powder, and a splash of water to the pan. Mix well, cover, and cook until the tomatoes break down into the gravy.
- 5. Pour 1 to 1.5 cups of water into the pan for the desired consistency. Cover and let the mutton simmer until tender, or pressure cook for 3-4 whistles on medium heat.
- 6. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with naan, parathas, or steamed basmati rice.
