- 200 g Dahi
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 1 kg Bell Peppers
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 50 g Asafoetida Powder
- 50G Green Chilies
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, asafoetida, and salt. Gradually add yogurt and mix to form a smooth batter. If needed, add a little water to achieve a pancake-like consistency.
- 2. Add the chopped spinach, tomatoes, bell peppers, coriander leaves, green chilies, and cumin seeds to the batter. Mix well to evenly combine.
- 3. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with a few drops of oil.
- 4. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a thin, round cheela. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges begin to lift.
- 5. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges and gently flip the cheela. Cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
- 6. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan lightly between each cheela.
- 7. Serve the cheelas warm with chutneys or yogurt on the side for a delightful breakfast.
