  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the split yellow moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 2-3 hours. Drain the water completely.
  2. 2. In a blender, grind the soaked lentils into a coarse paste. Avoid adding water to ensure the mixture stays thick.
  3. 3. Transfer the lentil paste to a mixing bowl. Add finely chopped green chilies, coriander leaves, mint leaves, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, asafoetida, garam masala, rice flour, and salt. Mix well to combine.
  4. 4. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small, flat patties.
  5. 5. Heat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat and add cooking oil for shallow frying.
  6. 6. Place the patties onto the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crisp. Flip carefully to avoid breaking.
  7. 7. Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  8. 8. Serve the Mini Lentil & Herb Patties warm with your choice of chutney or yogurt for dipping.
