- 250g Swad White Aval 250g
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 200 g Dahi
- - Tandoori Seasoning 50g
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 250 g Carrot
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 50G Green Chilies
- - Green Peas
- 100 g Jeera
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the flattened rice (poha) in a colander under cold water for 30 seconds, then set aside to drain completely.
- 2. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a large pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds; let them sizzle for 30 seconds.
- 3. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent, followed by the green chilies and grated carrot. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- 4. Stir in the green peas, chopped tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and tandoori masala. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables soften and the spices are aromatic.
- 5. Add the yogurt to the pan and mix well to create a creamy base. Simmer for 2 minutes until the flavors meld together.
- 6. Gently fold in the rinsed poha and salt, ensuring it is evenly coated with the spice and vegetable mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 7. Finish with chopped coriander leaves and a drizzle of lemon juice for added freshness. Mix gently.
- 8. Serve hot with a side of yogurt or pickle for a complete breakfast experience.
