Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Idly/Dosa Batter
  • 200 g Paneer
  • 500 g Onion
  • 100G Oleo
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix the grated paneer with turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Set aside for 5 minutes to let the flavors infuse.
  2. 2. Heat a non-stick tawa or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  3. 3. Pour a ladleful of dosa batter onto the tawa and spread it gently into a thick round pancake, about 6-7 inches in diameter.
  4. 4. Quickly sprinkle a generous layer of the spiced paneer mixture evenly over the batter, followed by chopped onions, tomatoes, green chili, coriander leaves, and cumin seeds.
  5. 5. Drizzle a little oil around the edges of the uttapam and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown.
  6. 6. Flip the uttapam carefully using a spatula and cook the other side for another 2 minutes until the toppings are slightly crisp and cooked well.
  7. 7. Remove from the tawa, repeat with the remaining batter and toppings, and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
