Ingredients

  • 500 Grms Bajra Atta Millets Atta 500 Grms
  • 200Ml Kara Coconut Milk Classic (200ml)
  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 250 ml Olive Oil
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Curry Leaves
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 500g Good Life Raw Peanuts 500 G
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Salt
  • 100 g Til
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the foxtail millet thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Drain the water before cooking.
  2. 2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the cooking oil. Once warm, add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  3. 3. Add asafoetida, curry leaves, and chopped green chili to the pan. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
  4. 4. Mix in the cumin seeds, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir for another minute to toast the spices.
  5. 5. Add the drained millet to the pan and stir well to coat it with the spices. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6. Pour in the coconut milk and stir. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the millet is cooked and creamy.
  7. 7. Add salt, roasted peanuts, and sesame seeds. Mix well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. 8. Turn off the heat and garnish with freshly chopped coriander. Serve warm in bowls, optionally adding extra peanuts for garnish.
