Manti, a delicious dumpling dish with roots in Central Asia, gets a creative Indian fusion twist in this recipe. Juicy, flavorful fillings wrapped in tender dough are steamed and paired with a spiced yogurt sauce, making it a perfect dinner for the entire family.

Ingredients

  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 500 g Chicken Whole
  • 500 g Onion
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 500 g Refined Flour
  • - Garlic Paste
  • 300 g Ginger Paste
  • 50 Grms Garam Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
  • 100 g Jeera Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • - Red Chilli Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and water to make a smooth dough. Knead for 5 minutes, cover, and rest for 10 minutes.
  2. 2. Prepare the filling by mixing minced chicken, finely chopped onions, garlic paste, ginger paste, garam masala, red chili powder, salt, and fresh coriander leaves in a bowl.
  3. 3. Divide the rested dough into small balls and roll each into thin, 4-inch circles.
  4. 4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold and pinch the edges to seal the dumplings completely.
  5. 5. Arrange the dumplings in a steamer basket, ensuring they don’t touch each other. Steam them over medium heat for 20 minutes.
  6. 6. While the dumplings are steaming, prepare the yogurt sauce by whisking plain yogurt with roasted cumin powder, salt, and a pinch of red chili powder.
  7. 7. Serve the steamed Manti hot, drizzled with the spiced yogurt sauce and garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
