Ingredients

  • - Toned Milk
  • 200 g Dates
  • 100 g Unsalted Butter
  • 500G Surya Rice Flour
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 500 g Wheat Flour / Maida
  • 20 g Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 500g of Wheat Flour / Maida, 200g of Surya Rice Flour, 2 teaspoons of Cinnamon, and a pinch of Table Salt. Mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution of the dry ingredients.
  2. 2. Add 100g of Unsalted Butter to the dry mixture and rub it into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Gradually add 250 ml of Toned Milk to the mixture, mixing continuously until the dough starts to come together. Knead the dough until it is smooth and pliable. Divide the dough into small, equal portions and set aside.
  4. 4. In a separate bowl, prepare the filling by finely chopping 200g of deseeded Dates. Mix the chopped dates thoroughly to create a smooth filling.
  5. 5. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
  6. 6. Flatten each portion of dough into a small disc and place a small amount of the date filling in the center. Carefully fold and seal the dough around the filling, shaping each piece into round or oval shapes.
  7. 7. Arrange the filled dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. 8. Bake the Ma'amoul in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  9. 9. Once baked, remove the Ma'amoul from the oven and allow them to cool completely before serving.
