Ingredients

  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 250 g French Beans
  • 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
  • 100G Oleo
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
  • 500 g Onion
  • 100 g Garlic
  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 50 g Black Pepper Powder
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the yellow lentils thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the lentils in water for 20 minutes, then drain.
  2. 2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and asafoetida, and sauté until aromatic, about 30 seconds.
  3. 3. Add the chopped tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomato softens and the spices are fragrant.
  4. 4. Add the soaked lentils to the pot along with 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5. Stir in the green beans and cabbage. Continue to simmer for another 10-12 minutes, or until the lentils are tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
  6. 6. Adjust the consistency of the soup by adding more water if needed, and season with black pepper and additional salt to taste.
  7. 7. Turn off the heat and stir in fresh lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.
