Ingredients
- 1 piece Bottle Gourd
- 1 l Homogenised Toned Milk
- 100 Ml Gowardhan Ghee
- 100 g Almonds
- 200 g Khoa
- 750 g Pistachios
- 500G Madhur Sugar
- Loose Cardamom
Instructions
- 1. Peel and grate 500g of lauki (bottle gourd). Squeeze out excess water from the grated lauki and set aside.
- 2. Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add the grated lauki and sauté for 10-12 minutes on medium flame until it softens and reduces in volume.
- 3. Add 1 cup of milk to the pan and cook on low flame, stirring occasionally, until the milk is absorbed and the mixture thickens (about 15 minutes).
- 4. Add 1/2 cup of sugar and mix well. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens further.
- 5. Add 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder and mix well. Cook for 2 more minutes.
- 6. Garnish with 1 tbsp of chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios, or cashews). Serve warm.
