  • - Cumin Seed
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 500 ml Water
  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Start by washing 100 g of fresh coriander leaves thoroughly. Once cleaned, chop them finely and set aside.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of Vijay besan flour, 1 teaspoon of eastern cumin seed, 1/2 teaspoon of Everest Kutilal red chilli powder, 1/2 teaspoon of Keya turmeric powder, and salt to taste.
  3. 3. Add the chopped coriander leaves to the mixing bowl along with 1 tablespoon of Smith & Jones ginger garlic paste.
  4. 4. Slowly add water to the mixture while stirring to form a thick, smooth batter. Make sure there are no lumps.
  5. 5. Heat a small amount of Sunny Soya Fit refined soyabean oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. 6. Pour the batter into a greased and steaming plate and steam it for about 15-20 minutes until the batter sets and is cooked through.
  7. 7. Allow the steamed batter to cool slightly and then cut it into small square or diamond shapes.
  8. 8. In a frying pan, heat more soyabean oil and shallow fry the cut pieces until they turn golden and crispy on both sides.
  9. 9. Serve the Kothimbir Wadi hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
