Kosher-Style Cinnamon Beef Stew Recipe

A hearty and flavorful beef stew infused with warm cinnamon and aromatic spices, perfect for a comforting dinner. This dish is kosher-friendly and pairs beautifully with egg noodles or thin spaghetti.
Ingredients
- 25 g Parsley
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 400 g Pastazara Finely Chopped Tomatoes
- 5Ltr Vittorio Pomace Olive Oil
- 1 kg Tata Salt (Vacuum Evaporated Iodised)
- 1 pack (100 g) Tata Sampann Pure Black Pepper Powder
- 40 g Orika True Cinnamon Stick
- 525 g Veeba Herby Tomato Pizza & Pasta Sauce
- 750 ml Catch Clear Lemon N Lime Flavoured Water
Instructions
- 1. Heat 1/2 cup olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper to the oil and stir to combine.
- 2. Add 1 diced onion, 4 minced garlic cloves, and 1/2 cup chopped parsley to the pot. Sauté until the onions turn translucent, about 5 minutes.
- 3. Stir in 2 chopped tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes until they release their juices.
- 4. Add 3 cinnamon sticks and stir to combine with the vegetables.
- 5. Pour in 2 cups of tomato sauce and mix well. Then, fill one of the empty tomato sauce cans with water and add two can-fulls of water to the pot.
- 6. Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- 7. Bring the stew to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
- 8. Serve the stew hot over thin spaghetti or egg noodles, and optionally top with grated kosher cheese.
