About this recipe

A hearty and flavorful kosher chili perfect for dinner, featuring seasoned ground beef, beans, and a rich tomato base. This dish is thickened to perfection and simmered for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
  • 1 ltr Real Fruit Power Tomato Juice
  • 500 g Weikfield Cornstarch Amazingly Versatile Gluten Free
  • 250 g Mirchi Powder (Bedagi)
  • 1 kg Tata Salt (Vacuum Evaporated Iodised)
  • 1 kg Rajdhani Red Rajma

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion, chili powder, and salt to the pot. Stir well and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the onion softens.
  3. 3. Pour in the tomato juice and add the drained kidney beans. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. 4. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a few tablespoons of cold water to create a slurry. Gradually add this to the pot while stirring to thicken the chili.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat to low and let the chili simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. 6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed before serving hot.
