Ingredients
- 200 g Paneer
- 500 g Onion
- 200G Adrak Lasun Paste (200g)
- 500 g Rava
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 200 ml Ghee
- - Dairy Milk
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- medium Chilli Green Long
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan and toast the semolina until lightly golden. Set aside.
- 2. In a separate pan, heat the remaining ghee, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chilies. Sauté for 1 minute.
- 3. Add the soaked moong dal and cook for 5 minutes. Slowly stir in the toasted semolina and milk, cooking until the upma thickens. Season with 1/2 tsp salt and set aside.
- 4. For the Kadhai Paneer, heat oil in a kadhai or deep pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the sliced onions and sauté until golden.
- 5. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste, followed by chopped tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil separates.
- 6. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
- 7. Add the paneer cubes and sliced bell pepper, gently tossing them in the gravy. Cook for another 5 minutes, ensuring the paneer absorbs the flavors.
- 8. Serve the Lentil Upma alongside the Kadhai Paneer garnished with fresh coriander.
