  • 100 g Salt
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan and toast the semolina until lightly golden. Set aside.
  2. 2. In a separate pan, heat the remaining ghee, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chilies. Sauté for 1 minute.
  3. 3. Add the soaked moong dal and cook for 5 minutes. Slowly stir in the toasted semolina and milk, cooking until the upma thickens. Season with 1/2 tsp salt and set aside.

  5. 5. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste, followed by chopped tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil separates.
  6. 6. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  7. 7. Add the paneer cubes and sliced bell pepper, gently tossing them in the gravy. Cook for another 5 minutes, ensuring the paneer absorbs the flavors.
  8. 8. Serve the Lentil Upma alongside the Kadhai Paneer garnished with fresh coriander.
