Ingredients

  • 500 g Onion
  • 250 g Carrot
  • 250 g French Beans
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • - Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 kg Potato
  • 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
  • 1 piece Bottle Gourd
  • 80 g Soya Sauce
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 190 ml White Cooking Vinegar
  • 100 g Cornflour
  • - Garlic Paste
  • 300 g Ginger Paste
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 500G Madhur Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Grate 2 medium potatoes and squeeze out excess water. Finely chop 1/2 cup cabbage, 1/2 cup carrots, and 1/4 cup beans.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix the grated potatoes, chopped vegetables, 2 tbsp cornflour, 1/2 tsp ginger paste, 1/2 tsp garlic paste, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, and salt. Knead into a dough.
  3. 3. Shape the mixture into small, round koftas (balls). Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the koftas until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  4. 4. In a separate pan, heat 1 tbsp oil. Add 1/2 tsp finely chopped garlic and 1/2 tsp finely chopped ginger. Sauté for a minute.
  5. 5. Add 1 finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add 1 finely chopped green chili and 1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  6. 6. Add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp tomato ketchup, 1/2 tsp red chili sauce, and 1/2 tsp vinegar. Mix well.
  7. 7. Add 1/2 cup water and bring the sauce to a boil. Add 1/2 tsp sugar and salt to taste. Stir well.
  8. 8. Add the fried koftas to the sauce and gently mix to coat them evenly. Cook for 2 minutes.
  9. 9. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
