A fragrant and flavorful Indian-inspired rice pilaf, perfect for a comforting dinner. This dish combines aromatic spices, sweet raisins, and fluffy rice for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 1 pack (500 g) Daily Good Raisin Golden | Kismish
- 500 ml Gowardhan Ghee (Pouch)
- 1 pack (1 kg) 921 Extra Long Grain Biryani Basmati Rice
- 750 ml Catch Clear Lemon N Lime Flavoured Water
- 50 g Sakthi Curry Powder
Instructions
- 1. Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a large pan over medium heat.
- 2. Add 1 finely chopped sambar onion and sauté until it turns golden and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- 3. Stir in 2 cups of basmati rice and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the rice is lightly toasted.
- 4. In a separate pot, bring 5 cups of Catch Clear Lemon N Lime Flavoured Water to a boil.
- 5. Pour the hot water into the pan with the rice. Add 1 cup of golden raisins and 2 teaspoons of curry powder, stirring well to combine.
- 6. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the rice simmer for 20 minutes, or until the liquid is fully absorbed and the rice is tender.
- 7. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot as a standalone dish or alongside your favorite Indian curries.
