  • 200G Adrak Lasun Paste (200g)
  • 200 ml Ghee
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 1 Kg Kissan Tomato Puree
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the moong dal thoroughly and cook it in a pressure cooker until soft but not mushy. Set aside.
  2. 2. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. 3. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes until aromatic. Add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder, and cook until the oil separates.
  4. 4. Add the cubed paneer and gently coat it with the masala. Lower the heat, pour in the whisked yogurt, and stir well. Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and cook on low heat for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. 5. In a separate pan, heat the remaining ghee, add cumin seeds, and green chilies. Once aromatic, pour this tempering over the cooked moong dal and mix well. Adjust salt to taste.
  6. 6. Sprinkle garam masala and fresh coriander leaves over the paneer and moong dal before serving. Pair with parathas or steamed rice for a wholesome meal.
