Ingredients

  • 500 g Poha
  • 500 g Onion
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 250 g Carrot
  • 100G Oleo
  • 100 g Lemon
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Curry Leaves
  • 50G Green Chilies
  • - Green Peas
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the poha in a colander under running water for 15-20 seconds, then set aside to drain completely.
  2. 2. Heat the vegetable oil in a tawa or wide pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  3. 3. Add curry leaves and green chilies, sauté for 30 seconds until aromatic. Then add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  4. 4. Stir in the chopped tomatoes, carrot, and green peas. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. 5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well, then gently fold in the drained poha, ensuring it is evenly coated with the spices.
  6. 6. Cook for another 3-4 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  7. 7. Turn off the heat and mix in the lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves.
