  • - Low Fat Dahi (Pouch)
  • 250 ml Olive Oil
  • - Dairy Milk
  • 50 g Black Pepper Powder
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Dry roast the rolled oats in a pan for 3-4 minutes until aromatic, then grind them into a fine powder using a blender.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground oats, gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, black pepper powder, and salt.
  3. 3. Add the finely chopped tomato, green chili, and coriander leaves to the dry mixture, then stir in the yogurt and mix well to form a smooth batter. Add milk if necessary to adjust the consistency.
  4. 4. Heat 1 tsp of olive oil or ghee in a non-stick tawa (griddle) over medium heat. Once hot, pour a ladleful of batter onto the tawa and spread it evenly into a thin circular shape.
  5. 5. Sprinkle cumin seeds on top and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding a little oil or ghee to the tawa as needed.
  7. 7. Serve the hot Herbed Tawa Oats Cheelas with mint chutney or low-fat yogurt for a refreshing accompaniment.
