Ingredients

  • 500 g Onion
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 100 g Ajwain
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • - Besan
  • 50 Grms Garam Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, carom seeds, garam masala, and salt.
  2. 2. Add finely chopped onion, tomato, green chili, and coriander leaves into the bowl. Mix well to evenly distribute the spices and vegetables.
  3. 3. Gradually stir in the yogurt to form a smooth batter. Add a little water if needed to achieve a medium-thick consistency, ensuring no lumps remain.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
  5. 5. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin circular shape, about 6 inches in diameter.
  6. 6. Cook the chilla for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 2 minutes.
  7. 7. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed, to make 4-5 chillas.
