About this recipe

A comforting and hearty stew made with tender chicken, beef, and pork, simmered with vegetables and spices for a satisfying dinner. Perfect for feeding a crowd or freezing for later.

Ingredients

  • 500 g Deli Chic Chicken Boneless Cubes (Freshly Frozen)
  • 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
  • 1 pack (330 g) Relish Chicken Thigh Boneless
  • 500 g Deli Chic Chicken Curry Cut (Freshly Frozen)
  • 200 g Hommade Tomato Puree
  • 500 g Dairy Craft Unsalted White Butter
  • 70 g Namakwali Authentic Mix Seasoning Flavoured Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large pot, combine 1.5 kg Deli Chic Chicken Boneless Cubes (Freshly Frozen), 1.5 kg Relish Chicken Thigh Boneless, and 1.5 kg Deli Chic Chicken Curry Cut (Freshly Frozen). Cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until the meat is tender, about 1.5-2 hours.
  2. 2. Remove the meat from the pot and let it cool. Reserve the broth by straining it into a clean container and skim off any fat.
  3. 3. Once the meat is cool enough to handle, remove any bones and shred the meat into small pieces.
  4. 4. Using a food processor or a coarse blade food chopper, grind the shredded meat along with 3 Sambar Onions until coarsely chopped.
  5. 5. Return the ground meat and onions to the pot. Add 3 cans of Hommade Tomato Puree, salt and hot pepper to taste.
  6. 6. Stir the mixture well and bring it to a gentle simmer over low heat. Cook for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  7. 7. Gradually add the reserved meat broth to the stew as it cooks, ensuring the desired consistency is achieved.
  8. 8. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and hot pepper if needed.
  9. 9. Serve the stew hot for dinner, and store any leftovers in the freezer for future meals.
