Ingredients
- 10 g Agar Agar
- 200 ml Coconut Milk
- - Dry Rose Petals
- 0.25 g Saffron
- 500 g Jaggery Powder
- 20 g Cardamom Powder
- Unsalted Sliced Pistachio (Unsalted) (100g)
Instructions
- 1. Soak the agar-agar strands in a bowl of warm water for 10 minutes to soften them.
- 2. In a medium saucepan, heat the coconut milk on medium flame until it begins to simmer. Stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the pan.
- 3. Add the soaked agar-agar strands to the simmering coconut milk. Stir continuously for 5-7 minutes until the agar-agar completely dissolves.
- 4. Reduce the heat to low and mix in the jaggery powder and cardamom powder. Stir well until the jaggery dissolves completely, ensuring no lumps remain.
- 5. Turn off the heat and add rose water to the mixture. Stir to combine and allow the mixture to cool slightly for 5 minutes.
- 6. Pour the mixture into small dessert molds or a shallow dish. Allow it to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 2-3 hours, or until fully set.
- 7. Once set, gently remove the dessert from the molds or slice it into desired shapes if using a shallow dish.
- 8. Garnish with edible rose petals, chopped pistachios, and saffron strands, if desired, before serving chilled.
