A hearty and flavorful Halal adaptation of the classic Hungarian Goulash, perfect for a comforting dinner. This slow-cooked dish features tender beef, aromatic spices, and a creamy finish.
Ingredients
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 1 kg Twf Bread Flour T55 - Specialised Maida
- 1 pc (52 g) On1Y Paprika Powder
- 50 g On1Y Black Peppercorns With Grinder
- 100 g Catch Sprinklers - Iodized Table Salt
- 50 g Zoff Premium Indian Bay Leaf
- 1 pc (200 g) Amul Sour Cream
- 16 g Orika Oregano
- 200 g Hommade Tomato Puree
Instructions
- 1. Place 1 cup of chopped onions and 1 minced clove of garlic into the crock-pot.
- 2. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour over the onion mixture and stir to coat evenly.
- 3. Add 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 bay leaf, and 1 can (400 g) of tomato puree to the crock-pot. Stir well to combine.
- 4. Cover the crock-pot and cook on low heat for 7 to 10 hours, or on high heat for 5 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
- 5. Thirty minutes before serving, stir in 1 cup of sour cream thoroughly and allow it to heat through.
- 6. Remove the bay leaf before serving. Serve the goulash over hot buttered noodles or your preferred side dish.
