Halal Hungarian Goulash recipe

A hearty and flavorful Halal adaptation of the classic Hungarian Goulash, perfect for a comforting dinner. This slow-cooked dish features tender beef, aromatic spices, and a creamy finish.

Ingredients

  • 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
  • 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
  • 1 kg Twf Bread Flour T55 - Specialised Maida
  • 1 pc (52 g) On1Y Paprika Powder
  • 50 g On1Y Black Peppercorns With Grinder
  • 100 g Catch Sprinklers - Iodized Table Salt
  • 50 g Zoff Premium Indian Bay Leaf
  • 1 pc (200 g) Amul Sour Cream
  • 16 g Orika Oregano
  • 200 g Hommade Tomato Puree

Instructions

  1. 1. Place 1 cup of chopped onions and 1 minced clove of garlic into the crock-pot.
  2. 2. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour over the onion mixture and stir to coat evenly.
  3. 3. Add 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 bay leaf, and 1 can (400 g) of tomato puree to the crock-pot. Stir well to combine.
  4. 4. Cover the crock-pot and cook on low heat for 7 to 10 hours, or on high heat for 5 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5. Thirty minutes before serving, stir in 1 cup of sour cream thoroughly and allow it to heat through.
  6. 6. Remove the bay leaf before serving. Serve the goulash over hot buttered noodles or your preferred side dish.
