A hearty and satisfying dinner featuring halal-certified tri-tip, baked potatoes, buttered corn, and a fresh salad with avocado and cheese. Perfect for a family dinner or gathering.
Ingredients
- 100 g Green Lettuce
- 500 g X 2 Organically Grown Potato Combo
- 1 pc Organically Grown American Corn Cob
- 500 g Organically Grown Tomato (Hybrid) (Tamatar)
- 120 g Avocado - Tanzania
- 100 g Nutoras Cheese Feta With Olive Oil (Block)
- 70 g Namakwali Authentic Mix Seasoning Flavoured Salt
- 1 pc (50 g) Everest Tasteeto Black Pepper | Grinder Cap Bottle
- 500 g Dairy Craft Unsalted White Butter
- 100 g Tata Sampann Whole Spices Cumin Seed
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your grill and ensure the coals are hot.
- 2. Season the potatoes with cumin, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- 3. Place the seasoned potatoes on the grill and close the lid. Cook for 30 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 30 minutes with the lid closed.
- 4. Preheat your grill to medium heat. Wrap the potatoes individually in foil and place them on the grill. Cook for 40-45 minutes or until tender.
- 5. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the corn and boil for 8-10 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
- 6. While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the salad. Chop 1 head of lettuce, dice 1 tomato, and slice 1 avocado. Combine them in a large bowl.
- 7. Crumble 200 g of feta cheese and sprinkle it over the salad. Toss gently and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- 8. Once the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes. Serve them as is or slice into desired portions.
- 9. Remove the potatoes from the grill and carefully unwrap them. Serve with butter or your preferred toppings.
- 10. Butter the boiled corn and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 11. Serve the grilled potatoes alongside the baked potatoes, buttered corn, and chilled salad. Enjoy your halal dinner!
