A flavorful dinner featuring tender halal beef, aromatic garlic and shallots, and fresh purple basil, all simmered in a rich sauce for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 150 g Spring Onion (Kandychi Path)
  • 14 g On1Y Basil Leaves
  • 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
  • 250 g Organic Certified Green Capsicum (Donne Menasinakaayi)
  • 500 ml Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 100 g Milky Mist Cooking Unsalted Butter
  • 175 Ltr Lee Kum Kee Blended Sesaame Oil Pet
  • 10 g Snapin Chilli Flakes Sachet
  • 750 g Dabur 100 % Pure Honey (Refill Pouch)
  • 900 G Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Dark Soy Sauce

Instructions

  1. 1. Coat a large frying pan with 2 tbsp olive oil and heat over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and 1 finely chopped spring onion to the pan. Sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  3. 3. Add 1 sliced green capsicum to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. 4. Add 1 tbsp butter and stir until melted, then drizzle 1 tsp sesame oil over the vegetables.
  5. 5. Pour in 100 ml soy sauce and stir to coat the vegetables evenly.
  6. 6. Add 1 sliced spring onion to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  7. 7. Sprinkle a pinch of your preferred spices (e.g., paprika, cumin, or chili flakes) and stir well.
  8. 8. Add 1 tbsp honey and mix thoroughly to balance the flavors.
  9. 9. Toss in a handful of fresh basil leaves and simmer the dish on low-medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  10. 10. Serve hot over freshly cooked rice or noodles for a complete meal.
