A flavorful dinner featuring tender halal beef, aromatic garlic and shallots, and fresh purple basil, all simmered in a rich sauce for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 150 g Spring Onion (Kandychi Path)
- 14 g On1Y Basil Leaves
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 250 g Organic Certified Green Capsicum (Donne Menasinakaayi)
- 500 ml Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 100 g Milky Mist Cooking Unsalted Butter
- 175 Ltr Lee Kum Kee Blended Sesaame Oil Pet
- 10 g Snapin Chilli Flakes Sachet
- 750 g Dabur 100 % Pure Honey (Refill Pouch)
- 900 G Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Dark Soy Sauce
Instructions
- 1. Coat a large frying pan with 2 tbsp olive oil and heat over medium heat.
- 2. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and 1 finely chopped spring onion to the pan. Sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- 3. Add 1 sliced green capsicum to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until slightly softened.
- 4. Add 1 tbsp butter and stir until melted, then drizzle 1 tsp sesame oil over the vegetables.
- 5. Pour in 100 ml soy sauce and stir to coat the vegetables evenly.
- 6. Add 1 sliced spring onion to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- 7. Sprinkle a pinch of your preferred spices (e.g., paprika, cumin, or chili flakes) and stir well.
- 8. Add 1 tbsp honey and mix thoroughly to balance the flavors.
- 9. Toss in a handful of fresh basil leaves and simmer the dish on low-medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 10. Serve hot over freshly cooked rice or noodles for a complete meal.
