Ingredients

  • 100 g Pasteurised Butter
  • - Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 6 pcs White Eggs
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 50 g Nutmeg Powder
  • 500 g Wheat Flour / Maida
  • 500 ml Water

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 220°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, add 100g of Amul pasteurised butter and 1 cup of water. Heat on medium until the butter melts and the mixture starts to boil.
  3. 3. Remove the pan from heat and add 1 cup of Fortune maida/refined flour all at once. Quickly stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  4. 4. Return the pan to low heat and cook the dough for 1-2 more minutes, stirring constantly until it becomes smooth and slightly shiny.
  5. 5. Transfer the dough to a mixing bowl and let it cool slightly for a few minutes.
  6. 6. Beat in 4 Yojana poultry white power eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.
  7. 7. Stir in 1/2 cup of Kraft parmesan cheese grated and a pinch of Snapin nutmeg/jayphal powder, along with a sprinkle of Tata salt to taste.
  8. 8. Use a spoon or a piping bag to place small mounds of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.
  9. 9. Brush the tops of each mound lightly with a beaten egg to give them a nice golden finish.
  10. 10. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until the gougères are puffed up and golden brown.
  11. 11. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
