Ingredients
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- 100G Oleo
- 200 g Paneer
- 250 g Carrot
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Coriander Powder
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Wash and soak the yellow moong dal in water for 4-5 hours, then drain and blend into a smooth batter with minimal water.
- 2. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt to the batter, mixing well to make a smooth and lump-free consistency.
- 3. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onion, green chili, tomato, grated carrot, and bell pepper until softened. Add coriander powder, garam masala, and red chili powder, then mix in crumbled paneer and chopped coriander leaves. Cook for 2-3 minutes and set aside.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease it with oil. Pour a ladleful of moong dal batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin circle. Cook on medium heat until golden and crisp on one side, then flip and cook the other side.
- 5. Place a portion of the prepared stuffing onto one half of the cooked chilla, fold over the other half to form a semicircle, and press gently.
- 6. Repeat the process with the remaining batter and stuffing. Serve hot with mint chutney or yogurt on the side.
