Ingredients
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 250 g Carrot
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 200 g Dahi
- - Green Chutney
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- 50 g Black Pepper Powder
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse and soak the moong dal in water for 4-6 hours, then drain and grind it into a smooth batter with a little water. Add turmeric powder, cumin seeds, salt, and black pepper powder to the batter and mix well.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped onion, tomato, grated carrot, shredded cabbage, capsicum, coriander leaves, garam masala, and red chili powder. Mix well to create the veggie stuffing.
- 3. Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle) on medium heat and grease it lightly with oil. Pour a ladle of the moong dal batter onto the tawa and spread it into a thin circle like a pancake.
- 4. Cook the cheela on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side. Repeat this process to make 4 cheelas.
- 5. In a small bowl, mix the yogurt and mint chutney until smooth to make the mint yogurt spread.
- 6. To assemble the wrap, spread a thin layer of the mint yogurt on each cheela, then place a portion of the veggie stuffing in the center. Roll the cheela tightly to form a wrap.
- 7. Serve the Fusion Tawa Veggie Cheela Wraps warm with extra mint chutney on the side for dipping.
