French Beans And Saffron Rice Recipe

A hearty and flavorful dinner dish combining tender kosher chicken, spiced basmati rice, and fresh French beans, perfect for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 100 g Mother Dairy Salted Butter
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 400 g Pastazara Finely Chopped Tomatoes
- 100 g Curryit Preservative Free Tomato Puree
- 250 g Organically Grown French Beans
- 1 pack (1 kg) 921 Extra Long Grain Biryani Basmati Rice
- 45 g On1Y Cinnamon Powder
- 100 g Jk Jeera Powder / Cumin Powder
- 1 pack (100 g) Khetika Stone Ground Turmeric Powder, Single Origin, With Natural Oils, High Curcumin,Reusable Pouch
- 1 kg Puro Healthy Salt (Sendha Namak)
- 1 g Two Brothers Kashmiri Mongra Organic Saffron
Instructions
- 1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- 2. Add 1 diced onion and sauté until golden brown.
- 3. Stir in 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon ground turmeric, 1 lb diced tomatoes, 2 tablespoons tomato puree, and 1 1/2 cups water. Season with a pinch of salt. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes.
- 4. Add 2 1/2 cups of halved French beans to the saucepan and cook for an additional 15 minutes, or until most of the liquid has reduced.
- 5. Meanwhile, rinse 1 1/2 cups of basmati rice under cold water. Cook the rice in salted water for about 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and rinse the rice in warm water.
- 6. In a clean saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of butter and layer one-third of the rice at the bottom. Add half of the French bean mixture over the rice, followed by another layer of rice, the remaining French bean mixture, and a final layer of rice.
- 7. Pour 1 tablespoon of salt over the top layer of rice. Cover the pan with a clean dish towel, secure with a lid, and steam over low heat for 30-40 minutes.
- 8. Dissolve 2 saffron strands in 1 tablespoon of warm water. Mix 3 tablespoons of cooked rice with the saffron water.
- 9. Serve the layered rice and French beans on a large dish, garnishing with the saffron-infused rice on top.
