Ingredients

  • 250 g Spinach
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 100 g Ajwain
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • - Besan
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the gram flour, chopped spinach, green chili, tomato, cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, carom seeds, and salt.
  2. 2. Add yogurt to the mixture and gradually whisk in enough water to form a smooth, thick batter with a pouring consistency. Ensure there are no lumps.
  3. 3. Heat a non-stick pan or tawa over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
  4. 4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it gently into a thin, round pancake with the back of the ladle.
  5. 5. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the edges lift and the underside is golden brown. Flip the cheela and cook the other side for another 2 minutes.
  6. 6. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.
