Ingredients
- 250 g Spinach
- 250g Green Chilli
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 100 g Ajwain
- 200 g Dahi
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- - Besan
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the gram flour, chopped spinach, green chili, tomato, cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, carom seeds, and salt.
- 2. Add yogurt to the mixture and gradually whisk in enough water to form a smooth, thick batter with a pouring consistency. Ensure there are no lumps.
- 3. Heat a non-stick pan or tawa over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- 4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it gently into a thin, round pancake with the back of the ladle.
- 5. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the edges lift and the underside is golden brown. Flip the cheela and cook the other side for another 2 minutes.
- 6. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.
- 7. Serve hot with a side of green chutney or plain yogurt for a wholesome, flavorful breakfast.
