Ingredients
- 500 Grms Bajra Atta Millets Atta 500 Grms
- 200 ml Ghee
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 250 g Carrot
- 250 g French Beans
- - Vegetable Stock Cubes
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Coriander Powder
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- - Green Peas
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the foxtail millet thoroughly under running water and soak it for 20 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Heat 2 tbsp ghee on a tawa over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, allowing them to splutter.
- 3. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown. Stir in the tomato and cook until soft and mushy.
- 4. Toss in the green beans, carrot, and green peas. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the vegetables with spices.
- 6. Add the drained millet to the tawa and mix everything thoroughly. Pour in the vegetable stock and stir well.
- 7. Cover the tawa with a lid and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes or until the millet is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
- 8. Remove the lid, fluff the khichdi with a fork, and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot.
