Ingredients

  • 500 Grms Bajra Atta Millets Atta 500 Grms
  • 200 ml Ghee
  • 500 g Onion
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 250 g Carrot
  • 250 g French Beans
  • - Vegetable Stock Cubes
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • - Green Peas
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the foxtail millet thoroughly under running water and soak it for 20 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Heat 2 tbsp ghee on a tawa over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, allowing them to splutter.
  3. 3. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown. Stir in the tomato and cook until soft and mushy.
  4. 4. Toss in the green beans, carrot, and green peas. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the vegetables with spices.
  6. 6. Add the drained millet to the tawa and mix everything thoroughly. Pour in the vegetable stock and stir well.
  7. 7. Cover the tawa with a lid and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes or until the millet is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
  8. 8. Remove the lid, fluff the khichdi with a fork, and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot.
