Ingredients
- 500 g Moong Dal
- medium Chilli Green Long
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 250 g Carrot
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- 500 g Onion
- 200 g Dahi
- 50 g Black Pepper Powder
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Salt
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the green gram thoroughly and soak it in water for 4-6 hours or overnight.
- 2. Drain the soaked green gram and blend it into a smooth batter with green chili, ginger, salt, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and a little water as needed. The batter should be of pouring consistency.
- 3. Mix in the chopped coriander leaves and cumin seeds into the batter for added aroma and flavor.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan or tawa on medium heat and lightly grease it with oil. Pour a ladle of the batter and spread it into a thin circle to form the crepe.
- 5. Sprinkle the grated carrot, chopped capsicum, tomatoes, and onions evenly over the crepe while the batter is still wet.
- 6. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges and cook the crepe until the bottom turns golden brown. Flip it carefully and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes.
- 7. Remove the crepe from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining batter and vegetables.
- 8. Serve the hot pesarattu with a side of coconut chutney or yogurt for a complete breakfast experience.
