Ingredients

  • 500 g Suji
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 250 g Carrot
  • 500 g Onion
  • - Frozen Peas
  • 300 g Ginger Paste
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 200 ml Sesame Oil
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the semolina, yogurt, and 1/4 cup of water to form a thick batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes to allow the semolina to absorb the liquid.
  2. 2. Add the chopped capsicum, grated carrot, onions, steamed peas, coriander leaves, and green chili to the rested batter. Mix well.
  3. 3. Stir in the cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, ginger paste, and salt. Adjust the consistency with a little water if the batter is too thick.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick kadhai or skillet and lightly grease it with 1 tsp of oil.
  5. 5. Take small portions of the batter and shape them into flat, round tikkas. Place them on the hot kadhai.
  6. 6. Cook the tikkas on medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown and crisp. Add a little oil if needed while flipping.
  7. 7. Once cooked, transfer the tikkas onto a serving plate. Serve hot with mint chutney or a side of yogurt.
