- 500 g Onion
- 250 g Spinach
- 50 g Asafoetida Powder
- 200 g Dahi
- 200 ml Sesame Oil
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- 50 g Black Pepper Powder
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt, and black pepper powder.
- 2. Gradually add curd and mix well to form a smooth batter. Add water as needed to achieve a pancake-like consistency.
- 3. Fold in the chopped onion, tomato, green chili, spinach, capsicum, and coriander leaves into the batter.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium flame and lightly grease it with a teaspoon of oil.
- 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly into a thin, round pitha or pancake shape.
- 6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat until the bottom turns golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
- 7. Repeat the process for the remaining batter, greasing the pan lightly before making each pitha.
- 8. Serve the warm pithas with a side of chutney or yogurt for a delicious and healthy breakfast.
