Ingredients

  • 500 g Onion
  • 250 g Spinach
  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 200 ml Sesame Oil
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • 50 g Black Pepper Powder
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt, and black pepper powder.
  2. 2. Gradually add curd and mix well to form a smooth batter. Add water as needed to achieve a pancake-like consistency.
  3. 3. Fold in the chopped onion, tomato, green chili, spinach, capsicum, and coriander leaves into the batter.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium flame and lightly grease it with a teaspoon of oil.
  5. 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly into a thin, round pitha or pancake shape.
  6. 6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat until the bottom turns golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. 7. Repeat the process for the remaining batter, greasing the pan lightly before making each pitha.
