Ingredients

  • 500 g Poha
  • 500 g Onion
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 250 g Carrot
  • - Frozen Peas
  • 100 g Curry Leaves
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 1 liter Sunflower Oil
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the poha in a colander under cold running water for 1-2 minutes, then let it drain completely.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, add mustard seeds, and let them splutter. Add cumin seeds and curry leaves, and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. 3. Add the chopped onion and green chili, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion turns translucent.
  4. 4. Stir in the diced carrot and green peas, cooking for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  5. 5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt, and mix well. Cook for another minute.
  6. 6. Gently fold in the rinsed poha and chopped tomato, mixing until the poha is evenly coated with the spices. Cook for 2-3 minutes to warm through.
  7. 7. Turn off the heat, squeeze lemon juice over the poha, and mix well. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
