Ingredients
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- - Besan
- 200 ml Sesame Oil
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Jeera Powder
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 1 pc (approx. 250g-500g) Lettuce Iceberg
- 250 g Carrot
- 200 g Dahi
- 250 g Cucumber
- - Chaat Masala
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 1Bunch Pudina
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 2 hours before draining it completely.
- 2. Blend the soaked dal into a coarse paste using a food processor, then mix in besan, green chili, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and chopped coriander.
- 3. Shape the mixture into small round patties and shallow fry them in oil over medium heat until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- 4. In a bowl, mix the plain yogurt and mint chutney to prepare the tangy sauce; set aside.
- 5. Lay out the whole wheat rotis and spread a tablespoon of the yogurt mint sauce on each.
- 6. Place 2-3 moong dal tikkis on each roti, then top with shredded lettuce, grated carrot, sliced cucumber, and a sprinkle of chaat masala.
- 7. Roll the rotis tightly into wraps, securing them with toothpicks if necessary, and serve immediately.
