Ingredients
- 250 G Green Mug Dal
- loose Ginger
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- 250 g Carrot
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Salt
- 500g Swad Roasted Rice Powder 500g
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Soak the green gram in water for 4-6 hours or overnight. Drain and rinse well.
- 2. In a blender, add the soaked green gram, ginger, green chilies, and a quarter cup of water. Blend into a smooth batter.
- 3. Transfer the batter to a bowl and mix in rice flour, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt. Stir well until combined.
- 4. Add the grated carrots, chopped bell peppers, and shredded cabbage to the batter, along with the coriander leaves. Mix evenly.
- 5. Heat a non-stick skillet on medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- 6. Pour a ladle of batter onto the skillet and spread it thinly in a circular motion to form a crepe.
- 7. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes.
- 8. Repeat with the remaining batter, adjusting the heat as needed to prevent burning.
- 9. Serve the Pesarattu hot with coconut chutney or yogurt for a complete breakfast.
