Ingredients
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- 1 Kg Pomfret Fish
- 200Ml Kara Coconut Milk Classic (200ml)
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 200G Adrak Lasun Paste (200g)
- - Coriander Powder
- 50 g Black Pepper
- 100 g Jeera
- 1 kg Rice
- 100 g Tamarind
- 50G Green Chilies
- 200 g Fenugreek Seeds
- loose Ginger
Instructions
- 1. Clean and wash the fish pieces thoroughly. Pat them dry and marinate with turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Fry the marinated fish pieces on medium heat until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- 3. In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil. Sauté chopped onions until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
- 4. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil separates.
- 5. Add coconut milk and 1 cup of water to the pan. Bring it to a boil and then simmer for 5 minutes. Add the fried fish pieces and cook for another 5 minutes.
- 6. Prepare steamed rice by washing and cooking 1.5 cups of rice with 3 cups of water until soft and fluffy.
- 7. Make rasam by boiling tamarind water with chopped tomatoes, crushed garlic, curry leaves, black pepper, cumin, and a pinch of turmeric. Cook for 10 minutes.
- 8. Serve the fish curry, steamed rice, rasam, and fried fish on a plate. Add accompaniments like coconut chutney, salad, and papad for a complete thali experience.
