Fish Tawa Masala is a flavorful and aromatic Indian dish, hailing from coastal regions, where fresh fish is marinated in spices and cooked on a flat tawa (griddle). Ingredients
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 1 Kg Pomfret Fish
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 50 Grms Garam Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 200G Adrak Lasun Paste (200g)
- - Red Chilli Powder
- - Coriander Powder
- 1 liter Sunflower Oil
Instructions
- 1. Wash the fish fillets thoroughly and pat them dry with a kitchen towel. Apply a mixture of turmeric powder and salt to the fish and set aside for marination.
- 2. Prepare the spice marinade by mixing ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and lemon juice in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of water to form a thick paste.
- 3. Coat the fish fillets evenly with the prepared spice marinade and let them rest for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- 4. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil on a tawa (flat griddle) over medium heat. Add the marinated fish fillets and cook on each side for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the tawa and set aside.
- 5. In the same tawa, add 1 tablespoon of oil, followed by thinly sliced onions. Sauté until golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, and a pinch of salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the mixture forms a thick masala base.
- 6. Return the cooked fish fillets to the tawa. Spoon the masala mixture over the fish and cook for 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
