- 100 g Salt
- 100 g Ajwain
- 50 Grms Garam Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
Instructions
- 1. Clean and wash the fish fillets thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry using a kitchen towel.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, prepare the marinade by combining ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Add lemon juice and mix well to form a smooth paste.
- 3. Coat the fish fillets evenly with the prepared marinade and let them marinate for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- 4. In a separate bowl, prepare the batter by mixing gram flour, rice flour, a pinch of turmeric powder, red chili powder, carom seeds, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water to form a thick, smooth batter.
- 5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. While the oil heats, dip each marinated fish fillet into the batter, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- 6. Carefully place the batter-coated fish fillets into the hot oil and fry them in small batches. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side or until the fillets are golden brown and crispy.
- 7. Remove the fried fish from the oil using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 8. Serve the Fish Koliwada hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves, lemon wedges, and onion rings. Enjoy with green chutney or ketchup.
