- 500 g Black Beans
- 200 g Table Salt
- 430 ml Oyster Sauce
- 100 g Cornflour
- 500 Ml Champion Oil
- 90 g Dark Soy Sauce
Instructions
- 1. Gather all ingredients: 300g beef (thinly sliced), 2 tbsp fermented black beans (rinsed and drained), 1 medium onion (sliced), 1 bell pepper (sliced), 2-3 green chillies (slit), 3-4 garlic cloves (minced), 1-inch ginger (julienned), 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tbsp cornflour, 2 tbsp vegetable oil, and salt to taste.
- 2. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine the beef slices with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar, and 1 tbsp cornflour. Mix well and let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- 3. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, mix 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, and 2 tbsp water. Set aside.
- 4. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until just cooked. Remove the beef and set aside.
- 5. In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tbsp vegetable oil. Add minced garlic, julienned ginger, and slit green chillies. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 6. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the wok. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
- 7. Add the fermented black beans to the wok and stir-fry for another minute to release their aroma.
- 8. Return the cooked beef to the wok and pour in the prepared sauce. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- 9. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, ensuring the beef and vegetables are evenly coated with the sauce. Adjust salt if needed.
- 10. Remove from heat and transfer the stir-fry to a serving dish. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
