Egg Sevpuri is a delightful fusion of Mumbai's iconic street food and a protein-packed twist. It combines crispy puris, tangy chutneys, and spiced boiled eggs, creating a snack that's bursting with flavors and textures. Perfect for family gatherings or evening indulgence!
Ingredients
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 6 pcs White Eggs
- 1Bunch Pudina
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Garlic
- 100 g Tamarind Paste
- 500 g Jaggery Powder
- 500 g Onion
- 150 g Ratlami Sev
- - Green Chutney
- 100 g Salt
- 200 g Black Salt
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 50 g Chat Masala
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 1Kg Potato
- 200 g Tamarind Date Chutney
Instructions
- 1. Place the eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 12 minutes to hard-boil them. Drain, cool, and peel the eggs.
- 2. Slice the boiled eggs into thick rounds and set aside.
- 3. Prepare the green chutney by blending coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, garlic, lemon juice, and salt with a small amount of water until smooth. Set aside.
- 4. Prepare the tamarind chutney by mixing tamarind pulp, jaggery, black salt, cumin powder, and a little water in a small saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Cool and set aside.
- 5. Arrange the crispy puris on a serving plate and lightly crush them to create a small cavity in each.
- 6. Place a slice of boiled egg on each puri. Sprinkle with a pinch of chaat masala and red chili powder.
- 7. Top each puri with a drizzle of green chutney and tamarind chutney. Add a generous pinch of finely chopped onions and tomatoes to each puri.
- 8. Garnish the Egg Sevpuri with sev and fresh coriander leaves. Serve immediately for the best taste.
